Orthopedics Department
Under the leadership of British director Professor Daniel Edward Porter, the Orthopedics Department has introduced new international concepts, techniques and organizational structures. The department has set up four major teams, Joint Team, Trauma Team, Spine Team, and Bone Disease Team, to build a modern department maintaining international standards.
Joint Team performs artificial joint (knee, hip, etc) replacement, revision joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgery.
Trauma Team deals with common spinal fractures, fractures in limbs, and has gained a wide experience in the surgical treatment of internationally recognized complex trauma such as pelvic fracture, etc. Our Trauma Team also performs minimal invasive surgical approaches which allows for a rapid recovery. We have high success rate and we have been experienced in hip fracture in elderly patients with cerebrovascular accident, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Spine Team has been actively developing the minimally invasive surgical approaches to an international standard, such as percutaneous minimal incision on spinal internal fixation and vertebroplasty procedure, allowing ambulation of patients immediately after the operation and timely rehabilitation.
Bone Disease Team expert in diagnosis and treatment of difficult bone tumor and complex surgery, such as total femoral replacement, and the excision and reconstruction of spinal and pelvic tumor.
