Heart Center
The heart center offers best care for patients with cardiovascular diseases. Our team is experienced in treating complex and severe cases. Subunits under the heart center include adult cardiology, pediatric cardiology, cardiac surgery, CCU, ICU and other diagnostic and supporting teams. We provide patient centered services by integrating cardiac surgery and cardiology which allows mutual communication and resource sharing for the best treatment plan.
Our famous cardiac surgeon and professor Qingyu Wu leads the Department of Cardiac Surgery. We successfully complete conventional coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacement, congenital heart disease, minimally invasive surgery, off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, pulmonary embolism, and aortic aneurysm surgery. Dr. Xiaomei Li leads the Department of Pediatric Cardiology in helping children with life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias which takes 33% of pediatric cardiac arrhythmias in China. The youngest patient we had is the youngest in China. We have achieved good result in coronary artery interventional therapy, ablation for arrhythmias, insertion of permanent pacemaker, and heart failure treatment. Our department provides echocardiogram, cardiac electrophysiologic study, and other tests, as well as emergency path for patients with acute myocardial infarction.
