TAKING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY
In the past 57 years, Beijing Huaxin Hospital has been serving the public wholeheartedly. In 1976 Tangshan Earthquake, we set up medical facilities to save critically ill patients and even performed surgeries in the tents. In 1994, we offered free surgery to orphans and disabled children. In 2003, Beijing Huaxin Hospital was the designated hospital of SARS. We admitted 137 SARS patients and cured over 90% patients with zero case infected among medical personnel, awarded Leading Women Group. We also support Wenchuan Earthquake, Beijing Olympic Games, H1N1 Flu Prevention, and the screening of milk powder quality. We were awarded the Capital Civilization Unit and Capital Blood-donating Advanced Unit.
We have been cooperating more than 30 charities, such as Beijing Aiyou Foundation, Antong Foundation, Beijing Angel Mom Charity Foundation, Pingan Home, Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village, Half the Sky, etc. since 2006. We make most use of our medical resources and specialties to support orphans and disabled children with congenital heart disease from the poor areas of China. With the support from State Ethnic Affairs Commission of China, Tsinghua University, and leaders of local government, our medical teams offer free medical services to patients in Henan, Hebei, Neimeng, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Hainan, Guizhou, Gansu and Ningxia. In 2013, 90 staff joined the team and served over 12,000 patients. We did congenital heart disease screening on 505 people and 419 of them were confirmed. In 2013, we saved 441 patients and the fund has totaled more than 7,500,000 yuan.
