Minimally invasive surgery through laparoscope is widely used for the treatment of various diseases and it has been the specialty of our department.
(1) Gastrointestinal Tumor. We perform various minimally invasive surgeries to treat gastrointestinal tumor. We apply laparoscope technique in gastric cancer, colonic cancer, and rectal cancer (total mesorectal excision), anus-preserving operation of the ultra-low rectal carcinoma, resection of gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and resection of small bowel tumor.
(2) Surgical Treatment of Obesity and Metabolic Disease. We apply laparoscope in gastroplasty and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery.
(3) Hernia surgery. We apply laparoscopy in repairing inguinal hernia, incisional hernia, esophageal hiatal hernia, and umnilical hernia.
(4) Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery. We perform pancreatoduodenectomy, liver resection, and spleen resection by laparoscopy. We are also experienced in cholecystectomy and cholelithiasis through minimally incisive surgery.
(5) Thyroid Surgery. We perform endoscopic thyroidectomy which lowers the after effects of the surgery maximally.
(6) We employ vacuum-assisted breast biopsy system to excise the benign breast tumors, with the benefit of the small cut, rapid recovery, and hidden scar. For breast cancer, we adopt modified radical mastectomy, the breast-conserving surgery, and sentinel lymph node biopsy and plastic surgery after mastectomy.
