Professor Qingyu Wu Attended The 25th Annual Meeting of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery

Professor Qingyu Wu attended The 25th Annual Meeting of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in Korea from March 23th to March 26th, 2017 with his cardiac team of 4 other specialists. Professor Wu was invited to host Congenital Heart Disease Symposium.

Surgeons from The First Hospital of Tsinghua University submitted 5 statement papers for this annual meeting: Long-term Outcomes of the Surgical Treatment for Aortic Regurgitation with Giant Left Ventricle, The Comparative Analysis of Ultrasonic Images and Surgical Pathology on Non-myxomax Atrial Space-occupying Lesions, The Diagnosis and Surgical Treatment of Blood Cysts on the Mitral Valve in an Adult, Application of Orthotopic Transplantation of Pulmonary Artery Root in Treating Severe Congenital Heart Disease, and Posterior Pericardial Ascending-to-Descending Aortic Bypass in Treating Complex Coarctation of the Aorta. The First Hospital of Tsinghua University was recognized as the hospital that submitted most statement papers for 2017 meeting. The international reputation of our Cardiac Center has been greatly developedin terms of the statement papers we submitted for academic exchange.

At the annual meeting, Professor Duke Cameron, the designate President of AAT, spoke highly of the accomplishment Professor Qingyu Wu has achieved at Cardiac Center.Professor Cameron also sent Professor Wu a kind invitation for visiting Massachusetts General Hospital where he is currently working for.

Professor Qingyu Wu was the only Chinese elected as the member in 2002 and has reserved Honorary membership since 2011. Professor Wu has achieved prominence in the cardiovascular and thoracic fields by meritorious contributions to the knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic diseases, treatment, and science in Asia and all over the world.
