Professor Qinyu Wu was invited to Attended the 5th Scientific Meeting of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery
During October 27 to October 30, the 5th Scientific Meeting of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery in conjunction with the 7th Emirates Cardiac Society Congress was held in Abu Dhabi. The most renowned cardiac surgeon in China, the president of The First Hospital of Tsinghua University, Professor Qingyu Wu was invited to attend this special event and to deliver a lecture on “Long-term Result of Surgical Treatment for Ebstein’s Anomaly”. Professor Wu has reported surgical experiences of 270 cases of Ebstein’s Anomaly, achieving a success rate of 98.5% with good long-term outcomes since 1997 to 2016. Meanwhile, Professor Wu participated in reviewing manuscripts as the council member of World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery prior to the conference. Professor Wu also got involved in the Governing Council Meeting for administrative affairs with all the other council members. The meeting concerned the conference organization, World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, World Database for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, administrative affairs of research committee and so on. Among the invited most distinguished cardiac surgeons at the conference, Professor Wu, the only invited guest from China, had further academic discussion and exchanges with other experts at the conference.
