Dr. Jianping Zhu, chief physician, senior doctor of General Surgery Department. Dr. Zhu specializes in diagnosis and treatment of difficult cases in liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen diseases, and oncological surgery. He is experienced in radical resection for pancreatic cancer, bile duct cancer, organ transplantation, and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery of hepatectomy, splenectomy, and common bile duct lithotomy. He can perform complex pancreatoduodenectomy by pancreaticojejunostomy (PJU), regional bloodless hepatectomy technique without Pringle maneuver for liver tumor and splenectomy with amputation of secondary structures of the spleen pedicel for megalosplenia, selective pericardial devascularization by preserving vagus trunk. He has achieved a safe solution with less bleeding and rapid recovery which grants him academic awards.
