A child is the hope of a family while thousands of children are the future of our nation.

Our hospital integrates supports from all departments on prevention of birth defects, labor and delivery, neonatal resuscitation, and neonatal congenital heart disease. We are among the top hospitals in China and we greatly improved the healthcare for children, especially for infants.

Our department runs fetal ultrasound for early diagnosis of birth defects. Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of Radiology, Vascular Surgery Department, Department of Pediatrics, and Department of Pathology provide technical and clinical supports. Our Department of Radiology is experienced in clinical practice in the past years. Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical care center for women with high-risk pregnancy and high-risk perinatal fetus. Beijing Huaxin Hospital is awarded Baby-friendly hospital in 1994 which is the birth defects test center. In 2007, our hospital was assigned as the medical center for women with high-risk pregnancy and high-risk perinatal fetus. We treat husbands of patients transferred from other hospitals each year. Our department is the medical center for high-risk perinatal fetus in Chaoyang District. The youngest premature fetus we admitted and survived was born at 26 weeks and 800 grams.

Under the leadership of Professor.Qing-yu Wu, the pediatric team of Heart Center gives priority to treatment of patients with critically ill, complicated and complex heart diseases. We own original innovative surgical techniques which successfully solved difficult heart problems worldwide. In March 2015, a two-hour old infant accepted successful switch operation for total transposition of great arteries (TGA) in Beijing Huaxin Hospita, who was the youngest patient underwent cardiac surgery in China.

Our Heart Center leads the radiofrequency ablation for arrhythmia in children in China. Professor Xiao-mei Li and her team have completed one third of the total nationwide radiofrequency ablation for arrhythmia in children. The 3-month patient we have is the youngest in China so far.

The Department of Anesthesiology is excellent in anesthesia administration on infants with complicated congenital heart diseases, patients with end stage heart failure, peri-operative management of patients with arrhythmia and pulmonary hypertension. We provide advanced care for newborns with low birth weight and young children with invasive monitoring, airway maintenance, fluid and blood volume management, and management on cardiopulmonary function.
